Triveni Ghat: Triveni Ghat is the biggest bathing ghat in Rishikesh. Situated near the main market this ghat has a mesmerizing view of mountain and river. The reason for the name is it is believed that this is a conference of 03 rivers Ganges, Yamuna and legendary Saraswati. Due to the conference, this ghat is a great place to take a bath. The current bridge is built in 1929 when the old bridge (1989 built) was damaged in flood. Lakshman Jhula is popular with tourists for shopping and other activities such as rafting. Both sides of the bridge has so many different shops with interesting things to buy. Lakshman temple and Tera Manzil Temple is also situated here. Ram Jhula: Suspension bridge similar to the Lakshman Jhula between Sivananda Ashram and Swarg Ashram is known as Ram Jhula or Sivananda Jhula. Boat is also available here on a sharing basis to cross the river. So many shops are available on both sides of the bridge for shopping. Sivananda Ashram, Yog Niketan Ashram, and Omkarnanda Ashram is located at one end of the bridge and the other end has Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhawan and Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Ram Jhula is a pedestrian bridge but it is also used for bikes.
Beatles Ashram: Beatles Ashram is located in the Swarg Ashram this ashram is closed in 1997 and consumed by the forest department. Still, there are some buildings such as meditation cells and lecture halls are there as a witness of the glory of the ashram. In February 1968 Beatle stayed here to learn yoga and meditation. Notable for a flowerlike shape and being one of the prominent tourist attractions in New Delhi, the Lotus Temple is located amidst the lush green landscape. Designed by Iranian-American architect Fariborz Sahba, the Lotus Temple was completed in November 1980 and was opened for the public in December 1986. The Lotus Temple being one of the seven Baha’i Houses of Worship has won numerous architectural awards and has also been subsequently featured in many newspapers and magazines. Later in the year 2001, a report declared Lotus Temple as one of the most visited buildings in the world.

ARCHITECTURE
The construction of the splendid Lotus Temple took nearly 10 years before it finally got the shape of a lotus. Entering the temple complex tourists can witness that the building is composed of white marbles, cement, dolomite and sand with around nine crystal clear pools dotted over it. Also, tourists can witness the 27 freestanding petals that are made of marble. Also, there are nine reflecting pools that encompass the temple from outside that appears to be even more beautiful during the dusk. The temple has the capacity to accommodate nearly 2500 people and has nine doors that open in a central hall.

The Lotus Temple is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM during the winter season and 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM during the summer season. The temple is closed on Monday.

Built out of red sandstone, Red Fort or Lal Quila was initially a residential area of the Mughals for about 200 years. The place was once used to celebrate various ceremonies and have now become one of the major tourist attractions in Delhi. Red Fort was even used to perform various ceremonies.
The fort’s massive wall standing at a height of 75 feet (23 metres) high, comprises a complex of palaces and entertainment halls, projecting balconies, baths and indoor canals, and geometrical gardens, as well as an ornate mosque. The Mausoleum is basically a tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun which was built in the 1560s by Humayun’s eldest wife Bega Begum after his death. Although the building of the Tomb has a complex structure but it is the charm and grandeur of this imposing structure that attracts thousands of travelers every year across the globe.
Visiting Humayun's Tomb one could see the beauty that depicts the true Mughal style of architecture, which was inspired by the Persian style of architecture. The Humayun’s Tomb was built after the death of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in 1555 AD. He was laid to rest at his palace at Purana Quila in Delhi. Following his death, to preserve the sanctity of their Emperor’s remains, the grieving queen Bega Begum set out for Mecca to undertake the Hajj pilgrimage and vowed to build a splendid mausoleum in the memory of her husband Humayun. Several Persian architects has appointed out of which one was Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, hailing from the Herat region of Afghanistan. Bega Begum did not only commission and paid for the construction of the tomb but supervised its construction as well. The construction of the magnificent and grand edifice involved around INR 1.5 million.
VISITING TIMINGS
One can make a visit to the splendid Humayun’s Tomb between Monday to Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
ENTRY FEES
The entry to Humayun’s Tomb is INR 30 for Indians and INR 500 for Foreign Tourists. For photographers, the entry is free of cost and INR 25 is charged for video filming.

The popular tourist attraction could be visited all throughout the year during the late afternoon. But to witness the best of Humayun’s Tomb, you can plan visiting between October and March as the weather remains pleasant helping you make the most out of your trip to Delhi.
